Kylie DavisFounder & President, Proptech Association Australia
Kylie Davis is a serial entrepreneur, marketer and presenter on proptech and innovation in real estate. She is the host of the Proptech Podcast, as well as the founder and president of The Proptech Association Australia. She is also co-founder of content marketing automation proptech, HomePrezzo.
Kylie has an MBA from the University of NSW and a 25-year career across media and big data, holding senior editorial and marketing roles at Fairfax, News Corp and CoreLogic. Her research into consumer and marketing experiences has set the benchmark for behavioural performance in real estate.
Kylie is a highly sought-after speaker both in Australia and overseas on the topics of innovation, proptech and content marketing. She is a director of Property Investment Professionals Australia and consults to a range of technology companies including ActivePipe, Open Agent, Rise, Real Time Conveyancing, Erin Living, AI Assets, Residz and Dynamic Methods. Kylie was a finalist in the thought leadership category of the 2019 REB Women in Real Estate Awards.
Karen FinchCEO of Legally Yours, Vice President of the Australian Legal Tech Association (ALTA)
Karen Finch is a non-practising lawyer, CEO of Legally Yours, Vice President of the Australian Legal Tech Association (ALTA), lead organiser for the Women of ALTA (WALTA), Legal Tech Editor for Idea Spies, a Law Reference Committee Member for CQ University Law School, event organiser for the Silicon Beach Australia startup community, and a passionate Ambassador of the progressive law movement.
Fusing together her legal background, recruitment expertise and passion for shaking up the legal sector, Karen has dedicated her career to facilitating faster, easier and more transparent access to fixed-fee lawyers throughout Australia. Through Legally Yours, Karen is creating Australia’s largest fixed-fee legal network of lawyers, whilst also providing convenient, easy and simple access for the community to tap into legal expertise when they need it most.
Outside of Legally Yours, Karen is also the Vice President of ALTA. In this role, Karen is committed to creating opportunities for women in technology and legaltech to come together to discuss the ‘blockers’ many female founders face in these industries. Karen does this by performing the role of lead organiser for WALTA, where female members of the legal profession and female legal tech founders come together to advocate and support each other through women only education sessions and discussion forums.
Ayala DomaniGeneral Manager, Future Business, AGL
Ayala currently leads the Future Business function which is responsible for identifying and incubating growth businesses for AGL by leveraging investments, entrepreneurial talent and collaborations with the local and global ecosystem.
Throughout her career, Ayala has embraced a range of leadership roles, including innovation, product management, strategic partnerships and product marketing, specialising in taking emerging products and technologies to market.
Ayala has previously worked with tech startups across technical and customer success roles in international markets and is still an active supporter and mentor in the startup community.
Ben RossCo-Founder, Propel Ventures
Ben is a bold entrepreneurial leader and co-founder of Propel Ventures. With Propel Ventures, Ben has led the strategy, development and sale of nine separate Propel Ventures startups in the past three years to corporate partners.
Ben was formerly on the executive leadership team at MYOB where he built a 45-strong product management and UX team responsible for MYOB’s web, mobile and desktop product portfolio, executed by 40+ agile development teams. In that role, Ben also led the product transformation of the PE-backed MYOB from a desktop-centric business to online leader, culminating in its successful ASX IPO in 2015.
Ben built and led his own angel-funded startup from inception in San Francisco in 2010 to sale to Telstra. Ben’s edge is his ability to build and lead agile teams and execute against a compelling vision. He has managed small and large teams across Europe, USA, Asia and Australia/NZ in roles as a founding startup CEO (Quotify) and as a product executive with Intuit and MYOB.
Geoff RohrsheimCo-Founder, Hatch Creations
Geoff is a technologist who understands business. With an honours degree in Aerospace Engineering and further studies in IT and Engineering, he is a former EY Entrepreneur of the Year winner for the southern region and has had three startups appear in the BRW Fast 100.
Geoff now shares his time between his own startup ventures cevo.com.au, arinco.com.au and yourhealthi.com.au. A graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, he is a non-executive director of ASC Pty Ltd and Chairman of proptech startup RESO. He is a member of the South Australian Premier’s Economic Advisory Council, the Australia Post Stakeholder Council and an angel investor and advisory board member of various Adelaide based tech startups.
Geoff is passionate about South Australia, the IT industry and how IT can improve business performance and society in general. He has been solving business problems with the pragmatic use of IT for nearly three decades.
James FosterChief Executive Officer, Ezypay
As the CEO of Ezypay, James is overseeing the continued growth of Australia’s first Subscription Payments company. Over the last 25 years, Ezypay has grown to 9 countries across Asia Pacific and developed an innovative cloud billing platform which is integrated with leading software companies across a range of industries.
Prior to joining Ezypay in 2017, James had over 20 years’ experience in technology driven businesses across marketing, sales and technology leadership roles. His experience working at senior levels in global software and services organisations allows him to drive Ezypay’s ambitious growth objectives. James is also actively involved in the broader Fintech community and represents Ezypay as a member of Fintech Australia and advisory committees, including with Eftpos Australia.
Tom DreyfusCo-Founder & Chief Executive Officer, Josef
Josef is a no-code software platform that empowers lawyers and legal professionals to automate legal tasks, including lawyer-client interactions, sending emails, generating legal documents and providing legal guidance and advice.
Today, the best legal teams around the world use Josef, from global commercial firms, to in-house teams at multinational corporations, to leading boutique and NewLaw firms, to the world’s best universities and law schools.
Tom is responsible for setting company strategy and nurturing relationships with customers and technology partners.
Tom is a director of the Australian Legal Technology Association, and a founding member of the Columbia Law School Legal Technology Association. He has worked as a solicitor, and served as an associate at the High Court of Australia. Tom has held board and leadership roles in not-for-profit organisations, and is a regular speaker at global legal industry events.
